I’m Harry Potter, the 11-year-old introduced himself to the newcomer in the train compartment. So you are the poor kid who has to be, I’m so sorry.
What do you mean sorry? Harry asked weirded out.
I’m going to be blunt Harry: You are a legend, a bed time story, a role model. -Said the black-haired boy.
What? What?
Oh, every parent uses you as a good example, or a guilt trip, I even have some of the most popular ones memorized:
Harry Potter never talks while his mouth is full,
Harry Potter always sits straight,
Harry Potter would be disappointed in you for not eating your vegetables,
Harry Potter always listen to his parents (None of them even thought of the implications.)
They say things like that? Potter shuddered.
Yes and it’s even worse -continued the boy with the forehead length bowl cut.
These means people have expectation of you, and even some resentment for being so perfect, and these are just the shared things. Every family has their Harry Potter, with different interests and adventures:
In one house he knew all the plants,
in another he slayed magical beasts,
He befriended them instead in a different one,
He was an abused by his aunt family (no one liked the Lovegood version),
He was a potion prodigy,
He travelled around learning rare magic, and defeat aspiring Dark Lords. Listed the kid with the hourglass necklace.
Harry was confused, scared, and unsure: What can I do?
I wish I knew that. Didn’t when I was in your place, said the mysterious boy before leaving Harry, alone with his thoughts and the expectations of others.
