why did i get removed from his close friends?

So I have a tendency to constantly check my bfs profile. Some of it stems from paranoia from my past relationships, some stems from me just wanting to look at photos of him or us together, but regardless it's just become a habit for me to click on his profile when we text, even if i'm not looking for anything in particular lol, it's just kinda muscle memory to click on it for 2 seconds and then click off.

He recently came back from a holiday, i was waiting at his house for when he came back. Because of this he was very tired the whole day, and rarely touched his phone because he was half asleep in bed with me. When I got the bus home, he texted me saying he loved me and again i just automatically clicked on his profile out of habit, but i noticed something different. He has 2 posts of us, and one of them was gone. I asked why he deleted it and he said he didnt and then showed me a ss of his account. The post that I can't see anymore was posted to his close friends, I asked if he removed me and he said he didn't and he wouldn't even know how to do that. He's been asleep since that message, i guess he crashed when he got home and properly fell asleep since he hasnt been active on any socials so I haven't been able to ask him to add me back.

I'm just wondering why this is? I trust my bf wholly and he's very loyal, I don't think he would hide anything from me. And I definitely looked at his profile before he came home and it was all normal. But he barely touched his phone when we were together because he was so sleepy, and I mean it was only about 5-10 minutes between when he dropped me to the bus, walked home and then fell asleep, so I doubt he would've removed me and then posted something he didn't want me to see while he was walking home. I'm just really confused on why I got removed, did he really not remove me? According to google AI he definitely removed me and it's not a glitch lol, which has me paranoid. It's our main form of communication through instagram and we talk a good bit on there, when he was on holiday he texted me as he usually would if not more, so it's not like our activity reduced and then I got removed automatically bc of it. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I know i'm overanalyzing this, and i trust my bf but it seems odd.
