ℹ️ Did you know the **Honda City Turbo II** has three of these cute little bikes inside? I didn't, initially. I thought it was only an easter egg untill I looked up the history of this iconic duo 💭

Back in the 80s, in a pre-internet era, automobiles were still (and are even now) a heavy innovation driven sector and japanese weren't shy to fancy things up. 🤔 They thought, why not build a foldable mini-bike that you can carry with our already popular compact model - The **Honda City**, so that people could carry a second means of transport together...

Thus was born - **Motocompo** (*Compact Motorcycle*), a 49cc foldable bike which allows you to access streets that even your (already) small car couldn't! 💹 You would think this would have been a successful model, alas, like every path breaking stuff it didn't gain traction then, only to be made iconic decades later when the production has stopped long ago 😂

....I think that's enough with real history for a diecast post, you could always google it for more. Here's my personal recommendation: [All about the unique Honda project](https://www.hagerty.com/media/automotive-history/without-80s-ska-the-motocompo-might-not-have-happened/)

♨️ Now to the Hot Wheels (Yayy!), I've been chasing the TH model of this City Turbo II in the 2025 F case, but no luck. I was then pleasantly surprised to learn that they were launching this Motocompo too as a mainline later in the year! Once I got hands on this, I couldn't wait further to get its car too and settled for the UH (Ultra Hots, 2024).

🗣️ The interesting part of this small model is not the bikes themselves but how they designed this around the rivet post of the car! Instead of placing one motocompo, they used 3 of them so that the pole is neatly concealed to large extent 👏🏼

One could also find such **Concealer Design** technique on many more models, *'88 Jeep Wagoneer, Volvo 850 Estate* and the most recent example being the *El Segundo Rallye* - All of which contain a **spare tyre** to cover up the pole. Notably, the *BMW M3 Wagon* has 2 **Surf Boards** to achieve a similar goal 🫣

...

That's all folks! If you've made it this far patiently, thank you for reading and taking part in sharing the passion 🤝🏼 Adding some cool advertisements from that period in the comments, cheers! 🍻
