Reflux is gone.

Hi y’all, I’ll be leaving this sub for now (at least) because my GERD is gone.

I suffered from really bad reflux for two years, and it turns out a large umbilical hernia was the cause. I had hernia repair surgery 13 days ago, and since then I’ve had zero reflux.

Waking up sore from surgery is far better than waking up with foul acid in your throat every morning.

I truly hope everyone here is able to find the root cause of their GERD too. Wishing you all the best.
