Complain abt Traffic Police

Respected Sir, I am compelled to bring to your immediate attention blatant and systematic corrupution being carried out by traffic police personnel and towing operators in Mumbai, parɵcularly at Wadi Bunder (Dongri & Mohammed Ali Road). These are not isolated incidents — they reflect a coordinated racket that openly extorts money, manipulates digital records, and abuses authority. Today my Friend face the same thing where he was force to pay bribe as he didn’t had time to argue with the traffic police at wadi bunder. He said this is regularly done and he have paid 3rd timesame way. We know about this corrupition then it’s very clear that all traffic police station will have some other loop to extort bribe from citizen so this letter is written in frustration about the previous incident which were officially faced.

Wadi Bunder (Dongri & Mohammed Ali Road)

1. Bikes are towed without prior announcements; vehicles parked at a distance are physically dragged out and towed by tow worker in front of traffic police who is sitng on the towing van.

2. Vehicle details are not uploaded on the official portal for several hours on Mumbai traffic police app, forcing citizens to locate their vehicles physically. Officially they have to fine the vehicle and take evidence (photo) from the govt official device before they tow the vehicle.

3. Citizens are redirected by Wadi bunder traffic police to authorized Towing agents who possess chain locks and keys where bike is been tie up (As they have official key of chain so it obvious its official guy who are been hire by Mumbai traffic police authority) and demand ₹1500/1000 in cash instead of the official ₹1736 penalty as claim irrespecetive the charge are just Rs.736.

4. When bribes are refused, traffic police later upload offence details using personal mobile phones photo, not government-issued devices photo click on the spot and within few min the payment is been made by citizen to release the vehicle.

5. In multiple cases, the GPS location of the offence is manipulated on Mumbai traffic police application, sometimes showing just outside or around Wadi bunder police station or in one fine locations outside India (near Nigeria / Libya), which is clear digital evidence fabrication
