[Thank You] Nisse, the Finnish elf, for bringing Christmas magic to a German kid

Thank you u/reindeerfrog, also known as “Nisse,” Santa’s little helper from Finland. Your card had exactly the effect my friend was hoping for on her 2nd grader who had begun to doubt the existence of Finnish Joulutonttus. After all, how could a postcard from Finland possibly find its way to a child in Germany when there are no known connections to Finland?!

It arrived just in time, and shortly afterward “Nisse” began playing his little Christmas tricks around the apartment.

Thank you so much for adding to the Christmas magic and helping an eight-year-old believe one more time in Santa and his invisible Finnish helpers. He even hung up a thank-you-note (or a little love letter) for Nisse to read, and not only drew cookies for him in the picture but also left some real ones, so Nisse would find his postcard and personal note.

P.S. My friend immediately reported the arrival of your card, but it was me who failed to pass that message on to you in a timely manner. Sorry about the delay!
