Stand ability: The stand deletes information about itself as soon as it forms, making it impossible to observe it directly. This effect applies to things or people it holds as well, so long as it is touching them.

Description: 

「Si T'étais Là」is a stand that is exceedingly hard to keep track off, seeing as it is at all times cloaked by its own effect. It could be right in front of a stand user, and yet remain unnoticed, because that stand user's memories of seeing it would vanish as soon as they form. Furthermore, it can ambush people simply by grabbing them, and so long as its victims remain in contact with it, they similarly disseapear from awareness, isolating them from allies.

When applying its effect to something it is touching, the information deletion becomes retroactive. I.E : not only do you become unaware of the thing it is touching, you also forget that thing was ever there at all to begin with. This only lasts so long as it is in contact with it. If it grabs a gun on a table, you would forget that there was a gun on that table. Then, if it puts the gun in front of you while it is touching it, you would be unable to perceive the gun. If it lets go after this, you would remember the gun, and have a sudden memory of that gun floating in front of you, held by seemingly nothing.

People that it touches are no longer affected by its cloaking effect, so they are able to perceive it, but that only lasts so long as they are in contact, and they would forget the second it lets go. If「Si T'étais Là」 grabs another stand, what happens is dependent on the user's link with their own stand. If the user can see out of the stand, then this has no effect beyond exposing 「Si T'étais Là」to both the ennemy user and its stand. If they cannot see out of the stand, like Polnareff with his Silver Chariot, then this would allow 「Si T'étais Là」to make an ennemy user lose awareness of their stand. As this is very unreliable, it is generally only a desperation move, because it either means instant victory or instant defeat by exposing the cloaking effect it uses to hide.

It might appear that in a realistic fight, 「Si T'étais Là」can't be defeated due to being imperceptible. However, the stand's effect is far from flawless. It only prevents information about itself directly from being formed, but indirect ways of viewing or perceiving it still work. If the stand holds a gun, the gun may not be perceived, but bullet holes in the wall from the gun being fired will still be perceptible. Bullets will become perceptible as soon as they are fired and are no longer touching the stand user.

This leads to the stand's main weakness : reflections. The stand does not count its own reflection as being "itself", and thus its cloaking effect does not apply. Thought you cannot form a memory of viewing the stand directly, if you were to look at its reflection throught a pocket mirror, you would remember seeing it. This would also apply to a live camera feed, thought it should be noted that any attempt to "record" the stand would be deleted since the stand's effect applies on technology as well. Due to the stand's reliance on its own effect for protection, it will almost never prevail in a straight one on one fight against another stand, due to its poor stats.

Also, in general, it has trouble with information gathering stands. Its effect only extends throught the regular five senses. Stands that possess another "sense", or other means of detection not directly derived from those five, are completely immune to its effect.

Lastly, the stand's effect cannot apply to its own user, even if that user is touched by the stand. The user generally relies on his stand's range (around 50 meters) to be able to fight other users while hiding themselves.

User : I havent given the user much thought, but I like the idea of them being an overworked med student in their early 20s interning at an hospital. I feel like a stand fight with 「Si T'étais Là」in a hospital setting would look cool, especially with cameras or mirrors that might naturally be within that setting.

Appearance: I have a hard time visualising stands since I'm not good at character design, but I feel like this one in particular would be similar to Death 13 (in the sense, it only has hands and a head with a huge mantle/cloak, but no body to speak of). Its design in a visual setting would probably have a scary face, specifically to build up to the reveal of the stand staring back at you in a reflection, but you turn around and you can't see it. I also like the idea that it would have flowers, specifically forget-me-nots, as part of its design somewhere.

Music Reference/ Flavor: Si T'étais Là by french artist Louane

It's a song about grief where the singer is specifically calling out to someone dead. The main chorus in french is :

"Est ce que tu m'entends ?
Est ce que tu me vois ?
Qu'est ce que tu ferais

toi si t'étais là?"
Which directly translates to

"Can you hear me ?
Can you see me ?
What would you do

If you were here ?"

And i thought that takes a fun new meaning with the stand's effect.
