I believe Half Life 3 is coming

For my own safety I will remain anonymous.

Back in June, I was invited by a representative group to play test “project free nexus” which I’m now convinced is the codename for the next Half Life game.

It was an early build (pre alpha) focused on testing movement and game mechanics which I can only describe as unprecedented.

Visually as you’d expect, the build is crude and rudimentary with much of its assets missing. Character models generic / placeholders.

Without going into specifics, the game plays like an evolution of the Half Life games, with strong evidence to suggest that this is the next installment in the series.

I‘m not here to leak information. I’m here to say, don’t lose hope. The long awaited Half Life sequel is in active development, and I expect an announcement by 2027 at the latest. I say this through 15 years of experience in my field of work, and a lifetime gamer.
