Daily commute

As the tittle suggests.

I need a bike to commute daily to my office. I need something reliable and safe.

Q1. Should I go for a scooty or a bike? (We do own a scooty but can't take it out everyday.)

Q2. Suggest me a good bike for daily commute. I travel from my home to Gurgaon which is around 25-27km away.
