Am I locked out of Maelle's weapon?

I'm talking about that weapon that gets her to start in virtuoso stance that she's supposed to get in the Gestral Village. I didn't use her at the end of the arena fight. But Sciel is here with me now. Can I trigger the competition again to get her weapon? Or somewhere else?
