Question on shoulder pads and tilting shields for 30k Imperial Fists

Hey team - I'm looking to start my second Heresy force and I'm looking at the alternate scheme for the Imperial fists (main black/secondary yellow) that the Templar Brethren have as the base (see here - Alternate scheme )

I'm looking to use tilt shields and the Maltese cross style shoulder pads on the right arm, with the Fists symbol on the left like this - Shoulder pads

My questions are:

a) is the right shoulder with the Black Templar style cross and the left with the Imperial Fists symbol generally the 'more' correct way to go?

b) would having the tilt shield on the right templar shoulder pad look ok? I've found some good printable shoulder pads with the tilt shield built in which would save on time and effort etc and I can mirror a print to make them look correct on the right hand side etc.
