Am I wrong for being turned off this early by his financial irresponsibility? Ang gastos nya.

I just started dating this guy, 3 months na and exclusive kami. He’s nice, attractive, and overall seems like a genuine person. We do click, but… he’s financially irresponsible. He doesn’t have any savings. Ang gastos niya. He makes only about a third, maybe even a fourth of my monthly income, yet he spends so freely. Ako naman, hindi ako kuripot sa sarili, but I’m very thoughtful and intentional when it comes to expenses.

I also think magkaiba kaming mundo. He said they never had a car as a family, he has never travelled abroad, his family doesn’t eat out a lot and he doesn’t know the restaurants I go to. Parang opposite kami. He takes public transportation a lot and I’ve never even been on a jeep or tricycle in my life.

I like him because he’s honest, I feel comfortable when we’re in bed together, sex is good but the way he spends so freely while he doesn’t have a lot is turning me off. Money is very important to me.

Can this be improved or is it a good enough reason to stop dating him? TIA.
