Unsure what to do about a decision I made
I bought an iPhone 17 last Sunday to replace my SE. I’ve been questioning whether it was worth the price of upgrading though, and have been thinking about returning the 17 and going back to my SE.
I've been weighing up the pros and cons:
+: I could afford it. Still living at home, save money every month.
+: Battery and camera are better.
-: I could put the money towards something better - e.g, a newer car, since mine fogs ups really badly.
-: I’m not a photagrapher; take more screenshots than pictures. And I got around the battery issues with my SE by using a power pack.
+/-: I’m interested in the iPhone Fold that is supposed to be coming out next year. Obviously no one knows what it’s going to be like though - could wait until September and it’s not very good, or doesn’t suit me.
But I'm also struggling with fear of my family: as I said, I’m still living at home. I feel like my mum and sister would disapprove of me returning it. It makes me anxious, and dissuades me from returning the phone. At the same time, I am aware that it is influencing me, and that feels wrong.
This has been playing on my mind a lot this week. Does anyone have any thoughts?
