Cat electrocuted & staying in emergency over night
I’m just panicking & wanted clarification. My 6month kitten was electrocuted from chewing on a cord, the only reason we know is because of the blister on his tongue & the way he was acting. He’s staying at the emergency vet over night & they said they need to check if he has water in his lungs.
2 questions. 1- is it possible for a cat to die while in vet care after the electrocution? Or can I stop stressing as much.
2- how long would it take? They said 1-2 nights & for 1 night it’s costing me $3k & I honestly don’t think I can afford another night if he needs it. So also just in general how long do they usually stay in emergency?
