State of written literature/ books in the african languages that you speak

What’s the state of the written knowledge/ book/ internet content in the african languages that you know of? I’m especially curious about the scientific knowledge, STEM fields like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Medicine, Mathematics, etc. Are most STEM african university students basically forced to look up knowledge in English or French?
