Can I use two pillows for better neck support?
Lately I have been waking up with a stiff neck and I am starting to wonder if my pillow setup is the problem. I see people online stacking two pillows and swearing it fixed everything, but I am not sure if that is actually smart or just a placebo.
Right now I sleep mostly on my side and one pillow feels too flat, but when I grab a thicker one my neck feels pushed up in a weird way. I tried using two regular pillows last night, one under my head and one kind of hugged up near my shoulder, and it felt comfy at first. By morning though my neck felt slightly off and I could not tell if it was better or worse.
Is using two pillows actually a legit way to get better neck support or am I just compensating for a bad pillow? Do people stack them flat, fold one, or use one just for the neck? Curious what has worked long term for others before I go down another bedding rabbit hole.
