How will we be forsure that John Cena is officially retired if we can't see him?

Alot of talk being made that this weekend is officially John Cenas last match. But how can we be certain when the guy can't be seen?

He technically could take part in another match without the crowd realizing he's in it right? In which case would that void his retirement?
