Wearing kimono in a "non traditional" way (show me your takes)

Hi there! I bought a second hand kimono and a haori in Japan because I liked how they looked, but knowing I wouldn't wear them the traditional way (love it, but I'd rather do that when in Japan and someone can help me out). I have a few ideas on how to wear them or maybe transform them but I'd love to see your outfits wearing those pieces in different ways (eg as a vest/coat, customized, tranformed, with pants...) for inspiration 😊
