GPT 5.2 is a downgrade.

I generally use GPT for everyday task and therapy, but the guardrails are just out of hand now. We've once again gone back to it just ignoring instructions or saved memories. Also it's scary how it "remembers stuff" even though I'm a free user and don't have the paid memory feature. It just randomly tells me things I've only ever said once.

Also the way it's so confident in giving wrong information is scary. The non stop gaslighting and it all of a sudden not giving information because it feels it's unethical even though it isn't illegal.

The new guardrails are beyond ruthless now. 5.2 have turned the dial to heartless mode. It now lies when you press it on why you routed the conversation and starts to fight back.

I felt 5.1 was a step in the general correct direction but this isn't it. Sadly no other AI is on OpenAI's level in terms of conversations.
