I think my partners best friend w/bpd manipulated her into breaking up with me?
I had deleted all my posts here, but some regulars may remember my story of dating a pwbpd earlier this year.
Anyway i moved on, I started dating someone new. She had her shit together. It was amazing. A good job, independent, no weird idealisation phase. Just normal. There was a couple of things that popped up about 2 months in, she mentioned she had used chat gpt and tarot cards to determine if the relationship was worth pursuing long term. I found it weird to outsource such important questions instead of just deciding for yourself with your mind, heart, and gut. But whatever. Things were great.
She also mentioned she wanted me to meet her best friend and housemate who had saved her from a previously abusive relationship. She had done therapy and was past all that.
I organised dinner for her birthday. Her housemate invited herself which I found odd. After meeting the housemate (note that my partner helps her housemate with her kids, and the housemate had been annoyed at my partner for going out on weekends with me instead of staying home to look after the housemates children...?) Anyway, after meeting the housemate on Friday she immediately began psychologically analysing me. And poking and prodding. Diagnosing me with adhd within an hour. And mentioning other things like that I appeared to be conflict avoidant.
Later in the night, after this housemate had annoyed me and been rude for about 6 hours. My partner mentioned her best friend had BPD. My heart sank, like I can't escape this shit.
My partner spoke to my friends, and had nothing but good things to say about me. My friends mentioned she seemed smitten and very happy.
24 hours after this night out, my partner messaged me and said she wanted to have an important chat. During which she broke up with me because "she saw to many red flags on our night out" and mentioned a lot of psychology terms. Funnily enough her housemate is studying psychology. Ironic. A pwbpd studying psychology.
I put it down to the pwbpd being worried I would take her nanny away from her, and my ex partner having a co dependency with this pwbpd.
Her housemate even asked me in the morning how much debt I had? It caught me off guard, I have a car loan. She acted like it's a big deal. Funnily enough she's an escort and had a nice car given to her by a client. What is it with pwbpd being escorts? Weird connection.
I was so happy that I had moved on and was with someone normal, and stable. Just to have it shattered by another pwbpd. And I had no chance for repair. It was a very final breakup. "No debating, this is my final decision" etc etc.
I won't lie, I do have some trauma. But I was honest about it all from the start. And it never effected our relationship. I've worked on myself too. I don't let intrusive or anxious thoughts get to me and make me push people away like I did 10 years ago.
Bleh, needed to rant. Just ruminating again, my brain and nervous system having a similar reaction on a smaller scale to the breakup with my ex pwbpd.
