Holidays in the world of the Craft
I'm no scholar like u/TheHiddenSchools is, but given the season, I have to wonder what holidays they celebrate.
I know they don't have Christmas, Halloween or Easter, but I'll bet they have events around the vernal and autumnal equinoxes.
Then there are the significant dates of the various gods. But when are they? What's a significant day for Kos? Something to do with fire and I don't know enough astrology to offer any options other than that there are fire signs.
One likely day for Seril would be the start of the Lunar New Year. I doubt there would be dragon dances, or fireworks, but I could see people in gargoyle costumes, poetry recitals. What else would there be? Lunar eclipses might have some significance. But are they when Seril metes out justice for those she can't normally reach? Or turns a blind eye to minor mischief?
Then there's Dresediel Lex. A once holy city now ruled entirely by the Craft. Their gods are dead, at best ghosts and shadows. But I don't doubt their holidays live on. There's Muerte Coffee, so I'll bet there's something like Dia de Los Muertos - where the people of Dresediel Lex honor their dead, clean the graves, remember them and sacrifice to them.
I'll also bet there's the Red King's birthday and death day (ascension day for his lichedom?). And his victory over the Gods (of course).
And there's the Solar eclipse in Two Serpents Rise.
So what thoughts do you have about holidays in the world of the Craft?
