My long form video got bad retention and low views

So I started my channel 1 month ago, starting with shorts related to a specific video game, plan to talk about different games as the channel growth, etc. So I uploaded few shorts, and most of them I think is quite alright for a new channel, some got 1k some got 36k. So I plan to switch to long form as it's where the money comes from.

My long form is 4:30 long, uploaded 5 days ago, only got 20views and got a retention of 23.3%, which is around 1min. At the meantime, I uploaded some shorts to promote this video, not directly, but it got me some subs and views.

I wonder what did I do wrong? Is this normal for first long form video? Do you guys use shorter intro to get more retention?
