No contact, but I still feel her energy every single day. How do you keep going?
New here and found this group and it resonated with me. Thought of sharing my journey in case others can relate.
We dated for just over two years.
It’s been nine months since the breakup, and during this time it's been a complete no contact.
We were best friends, deeply connected, and what we shared felt rare. But in the end, the emotional weight of the relationship became too much for her. She said she didn’t feel emotionally safe anymore, that it was too painful. I was anxious attached and she was the avoidant. Every time we got into an argument, she pulled away which made me cling tighter. My fear of abandonment back then was pretty tough. But thankfully months of therapy has helped tremendously.
I respected her wishes. No texts. No calls. Nothing.
And yet, I still feel her energy with me almost every day.
I’ve been doing the work, therapy, reflection, journaling, hikes, healing. I’ve even created some things that have helped me process this… mostly just to help myself find meaning in all of this.
Some days feel clearer than others. But the truth is, the love never really left me. I’m not trying to chase her or force anything. I just think when you’ve loved someone so deeply, it leaves an imprint.
I’m not looking for advice on how to “move on fast.” I trust my own timeline. I just wanted to ask here:
How do you keep going when the silence is still so loud?
Thanks for holding space. Just needed to let this out.
