Question for recent car renters

Whats the situation like as of recent? I’m going in Feb and I’m seeing an average of $800 for a week across Vamos/Alamo/Adobe and Avis is showing $450, which I know is because of the insurance and probably some other hidden fees.

Is there anyone who’s recently visited that has had experience with national companies and how different the price is once you’re there vs originally quoted?
