Question about a stud turning into a Grandpaw

Hi everyone,

Today I was looking for a nice colorbomb stud for one of my lionesses, and I found a cool purple and green one...we'll call him Lion A.

I sent in a stud request, and that player quickly accepted. My lioness is now pregnant, and when I first checked to confirm that and made her a nest, it said that the father was indeed Lion A.

But when I went to check on my lioness again since I saw she was ready to be leveled up, I noticed that the father's name was now just a hashtag symbol. When I clicked on it, it brought me to my own king's page. Odd.

So when I went back to check on that stud's page, I discovered that Lion A's player just made him a Grandpaw and replaced him with a new king. Apparently Lion A was 16 years old and I didn't realize that!

So my question now is, who will end up being the father of my lioness's cubs? Will it still be Lion A, since he bred to her before he lost his king status? I'm wondering if anyone else has had a situation like this happen before...
