got Alesis Nitro Pro kit, need help with high hat controller

Hello, I’m using this kit entirely with my DAW and Steven Slate drums and addictive drums plug-ins.

Everything is pretty good, but I think I’ve realized that there’s only two positions for high hat open and closed, which is a real bummer.

I had a hard time finding information about this, but it seems like this might be a limitation of both the pedal and the module that comes with this drum kit, and that they’re simply no way to fix it without both a different pedal and a different module.

Wondering if anyone can confirm that. I’m looking for any solution that can give me more variety with the high hat articulations.

I don’t think this module/pedal is sending any CC data, just two distinct notes with velocities for open and closed.
