Running a local tourney at launch, are we seriously telling league players they need a $50 adapter to play?

My local scene is finalizing our bracket for release week (January). We're playing on PS5.

The issue is we have a massive amount of League players wanting to try 2XKO as their first fighting game, and they obviously all play on keyboard. I know PC supports everything, but have we gotten any confirmation that the PS5 console port allows generic USB keyboards for actual gameplay?

I feel like i'm taking crazy pills trying to find an answer. If native support isn't there, I basically have to tell 20+ newcomers they either need to drop $50 on a Brook Wingman or they literally can't play.

Seems like a massive oversight if Riot wants to bridge the LoL crowd to FGC but locks them out on hardware. Anyone know if this is confirmed or should I start panic buying converters?
