H1b max stay clock reset query

Hi, I am on h1b visa when i entered the US the first time in July 2016 and spent around 4+ years and moved back to India in 2021 and worked till Nov 2024 (around 4 years) in India and came back to USA in Nov 2024 doing the cap exempt. I read somewhere the max stay clock will reset if we spent more than 1 year in India. Is this true? In that case the 6 year max limit will start again from Nov 2024 and the prior stay is not calculated? Please clarify, thanks!
