Referral question

I have family members who are looking to sell their home. The plan is to help them sell their current property and assist with purchasing their next one in our area. Since their home is about four hours away, I’m considering either co-listing with another agent or referring them to someone local. I’m curious about what a typical referral fee range might be. Their home is ready to list, and they’re motivated to move forward. I’m just trying to decide which approach would be best, especially since this would be my first listing and I want to ensure my inexperience doesn’t get in the way.
