Do I return my Canon g7x mark3 for something better?

For Christmas I received the Canon g7x mark 3, my mom got it for me at retail price, but I’m wondering if I should go with something newer like to Canon V1.

For reference I am still pretty new to photography but have taken a couple courses and currently shoot with Canon 2000D. Its been great to learn on but I would love something more portable, advanced, etc.

I am planning on studying abroad in Spain next year and am wanting something portable, and easy to shoot on. I love the way the g7x captures photos but I am also wanting to get into more vlogging and content creation.

The biggest loss with the V1 seems like the flash, and adding one on makes it more expensive/bulky. It’s pretty important to me to have flash.

Many say the g7x is so overhyped so I don’t know what to do. I want to keep learning and expanding my skills, I worry the g7x is just for people who don’t know how to use a camera 😭. I want great photos with flash but I also want great video. What should I do? What other cameras do you recommend?
