Bleeding 🩸 head shave recommendation

I have been shaving my head for over 20 years. That said over the last year I have been using double edge razor Rockwell. I love it but I notice that if I wait a week it's easy but if I shave after three days, it will bleed. Electric razors irritate my skin. I really like using a safety razor but are there any recommendations on how to prevent bleeding or irritation if I would like to shave more often. PS. I am an African American (courser hair) and do shave against the grain which may be a cause, but I love that Baby Smooth feel. Any recommendations would be much appreciated!
