Hotel Rewards… Different Amex?

So, my husband has a Platinum card, and we plan to make a trip in February. We’re planning to book a hotel using his status, but I’m wondering if I can just use my personal AMEX (Delta Platinum) when booking, instead of his to book it. It’s my treat, so hoping I can get the points on my card vs. using his card whereas I’d have to Venmo him for the cost and lose out on the points. Does this make sense?

I apologize if this seems like a very pedestrian post for this group, but I really appreciate any help you can provide.
