i'm gonna be bold
i'm gonna be a little bold now, if you don't mind. (i might delete this out of embarassment after the finale) i'm still confused as to what happened in vol.2 because it was not very coherent to me (and that's putting it lightly, i felt like i was living a fever dream) BUT i am certain of three things. "why?", you might ask. well. the duffers have hyped up the finale as the ultimate plottwist. unless they were lying like papa about the surprise element of the show...i conclude that all the things that are EXPLICITLY PLANNED OR PREDICTED by the characters are not happening. they are just red herrings.
- do people truly believe el & kali will just follow through with their suicide mission without any reconsideration or conflict? really? kali essentially spoiled exactly what was gonna happen to her and el? well that's a plottwist if i have ever seen one! 2. i need y'all to rest and stop worrying about steve like yesterday. aside from the fact that the trope of dustin's mentor dying has already been done with eddie and traumatized my dustybun enough...again do you really think steve and dustin are going to announce their deaths with the "you die, i die"...? pls 3. mike is not will's tammy, even if will said he is. if he truly was, the parallels between mike and tammy (or rather his dynamic with will vs. tammy's dynamic with robin) would've been strong enough to establish mike as will's tammy without will announcing it to us. mike and tammy's similarities were not enough. (on the contrary, mike literally parallels vickie.) will acknowledging and loudly adressing mike's perceived heterosexuality is a textbook red herring.
bonus point 4. m11 are not running away together to live in iceland or norway or wherever the hell in fucking scandinavia they can find three waterfalls and aurora borealis (love scandinavia btw). especially not after they mentioned it multiple times.
