My husband (40M) got me (30F) what feels like a shut up present after nothing on Christmas

My husband is a wonderful man, who takes care of me and my daughter always surprising us with flowers or my favorite home cooked meals. Trips to our favorite places. But he is awful with holidays, he knows they mean the world to me and I prefer a personal gift even if it’s very small. Yet he didn’t get me a single birthday present this year. He did plan a beautiful trip- but no physical gift. He also didn’t get my daughter a present- and for Christmas he did not get me anything.

I set a boundary that I don’t want to spend another year not getting presents and still expected something even though Christmas has passed. I am not expecting anything expensive, but I would like something meaningful. I have a updated wish list that he requested and have tried to make it as easy as possible. I came home to find two presents today. One being a chocolate bar pack that was most certainly on sale at target and pjs a size too small. He also has expressed how much he likes these pjs on me and they feel like more of a gift for him. I feel like it’s a shut up present and I want to be thankful for anything but I would rather have had something that felt like me- something that made me feel known.

Does anyone else have amazing partners all year round that just are horrific at special occasions? I always get him a thoughtful gift without him ever having to tell me directly. I listen to him, I make my own notes, I just wish he did the same.

TL;DR husband got me a discount chocolate bar pack and pjs the wrong size after I told him I still expected a present after receiving nothing on Christmas.
