We're not experiencing mass psychosis

general ♡

We had genuinely good evidence to believe that byler was happening. We wouldn't let people call us delusional for simply having hope then, so we shouldn't now. There's still a chance.

Some people took that document thing too far, of course, but if you believed it or even thought it was possibly true before it was confirmed to be false, or if you signed the petition, that's not your fault. There were a lot of inconsistencies in the show, and a lot of things we were told about what would be in the upcoming episodes that we haven't gotten yet (there's still one more episode, though), so it made *sense* that a big corporation like Netflix would cut things out.

All I'm trying to say is that we aren't delusional. Prepare for a nerd moment here, but if we were experiencing psychosis, we a) wouldn't know (at least until afterwards if it went away), b) wouldn't have significant logic behind our ideas (grasping at straws is normal, but we're not coming up with wild conclusions based on small patterns), and c) we would still believe it was happening with *strong conviction* even if we received a bunch of evidence otherwise (which we didn't, so believe with all the conviction you want).

Don't feel bad about yourselves, is all I'm trying to say. If we're genuinely, truly being queerbaited, then at least we were in this together. We're not psychotic (at least, not because of a ship- i can't speak for everyone), we're not stupid or naïve, and we don't have to be embarrassed for believing in well-supported theories.

Crazy together,

- A fellow Byler
