Sound jacks not working on pc

So my pc sound jacks have not worked for awhile now. Both the front and back jacks are out cold. I get around this because my monitor has speakers also my controller has a headphone jack that works. I have tried almost every possible solution including sound driver update, motherboard update, etc etc but no avail. The last time it worked was when windows had the equalizer removed. This is why I believed drivers the main issues but nope. Does anyone have any advice for this annoying fix? Thanks.
