New tattoo near healing piercing

So I have a lower belly piercing that’s not done healing but in a pretty good place, (no crusties, not much redness). And also have an existing fully healed regular belly piercing. I was wondering if anyone has experience getting a tattoo near a healing piercing. An artist who I have wanted to get tattooed by for awhile is coming to my city and I wanted to get a tattoo right under my healing belly piercing and around it. Why do you guys think? Would it probably be ok? I would most likely put a bandaid over the piercing during the tattoo or something.
