DAE Not Take a "Before" Photo?

Body Senstive Trigger Warning

I get a little bit of imposter syndrome about how "radical" my reduction is sometimes. Especially when I see other ppl's before and afters. I feel like if I looked through some of my old pictures I'd feel better, but then I realize I never took any? Not really, my boobs were always pretty big, and the ptosis kinda accelerated during Covid, so I don't have any pictures that show off my chest from after 2019. I thought about taking a picture before surgery, but still got super embarrassed about the idea. I did want to in pre-op, but once they took me in to get prepped things started moving so quickly that I kinda forgot.

The only thing I can really say is that I had about 985g of tissue removed (in my post-op/lab notes). A friend said that's about 3lbs and that definitely feels like a lot for boobs. As for sizing, I realize that's v much subjective, but an online calculator put me at a 34H. Most stores always said 34DD, but the ptosis always messed w my ability to fit into bras properly.

I guess I wanna know if anyone else felt too embarrassed to take any before pics and if anyone else also gets imposter syndrome about not having "big enough" boobs before. It's definitely weird, my surgeon did agree to use "symptomatic breast hypertrophy" as the main reason for getting surgery even though we both agreed my main reason was gender dysphoria. My state does require insurances to cover procedures for gender dysphoria by law, but the state of things politically had me skeptical as to how long that would last. That said, I did have a lot of large breast "symptoms" such as chronic shoulder and upper back pain.
