Guitar to monitors without audio interface?
I’m sure this has been asked before, but my search keeps turning up results for running guitar into a computer / digital amp via audio interface and then out to speakers — I get that setup already.
I’m wondering how to run guitar > analog pedals > stereo speakers without routing through an interface.
I’m specifically looking at these powered speakers, if that matters: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/TheNinesWal--klipsch-the-nines-powered-speaker-stereo-system-walnut
I was running setup ideas by my buddy ChatGPT but I think ChatGPT is actually an idiot about this topic and got me super confused.
Would my setup be as simple as, for example:
Guitar > pedals (3/4 inch cables) > stereo reverb > stereo DI or 2x mono DI (3/4” in, XLR to RCA out?) > speakers
Or would an overdrive/preamp pedal be enough to get my signal to that “line level” output without the DI pedals at the end?
I guess just keeping this as simple as possible for someone who is not technical in audio and cables and amps and preamps and power amp blah blah… what’s the easiest way to do this?
