Struggling with the fact that God is "masculine"
First off, I want to acknowledge that I know that God does not have a sex. He is not human, so technically, he is not "male" in the human sense. However, he does go by male pronouns and refers to himself with the "Father" and "Son" labels.
I have been really wrestling with this lately. I think part of it is that I am struggling with being female, and knowing that I worship an all-masculine God seems to reinforce the inferiority of being a woman. Secondly, I don't associate with "maleness" very much, and don't seem to be able to create a personal close relationship with God, seeing him as a male. I do acknowledge he is my savior. If you have any helpful advice, please share!
