Question on Retro Handheld with Controller and TV connected

Hi

Are there any retro handheld emulators such as Anbernic, Miyoo etc that supports direct connecting to a game controller. Im currently using Anbernic RG35XX with GarlicOS and I read that i need to load some files etc and quite a bit of settings requird to make a game controller work

Just wondering if there are other models with stock OS that I can just plug a type c controlller or bluetooth and work out of the box with HDMI output
