Honestly not sure why people are complaining.

General

Things are actually going really well I might be in the minority here, but from where I’m standing, Australia feels like it’s in a pretty good place right now. Cost of living is obviously higher, but that’s just part of transitioning away from outdated consumerism. We’ve all been too comfortable for too long anyway. Paying more for groceries has actually helped me become more mindful and intentional with my spending (and eating). Housing is tougher, sure, but that’s also pushing people to rethink what they really need. Do we all actually need space, privacy and stability? Smaller living arrangements build community and resilience. Share houses are kind of beautiful when you think about it. Wages haven’t kept up, but that’s okay because not everything needs to be measured in money. There’s more to life than disposable income. Like values. And vibes. I also think it’s refreshing to finally have leadership that feels calm, measured and adult. No drama, no ego, just steady progress. Change takes time, and I’m happy to be patient if it means we’re moving in the right direction. All in all, I feel pretty optimistic. We’re doing the work, having the conversations, and becoming a fairer, more compassionate society. Sometimes discomfort is just growth in disguise. Anyway, that’s my take. Keen to hear other perspectives 🌱✨
