My marriage is draining me but I’m not ready to end it
It could just be part of having kids, right? All couples fight… right? I love my husband but our marriage is in shambles right now. He has some issues and he is working on them but to make any progress I have to buckle down on my boundaries and just take the barrage of insults he throws at me before I finally convey my point in a way that makes sense to him. But it’ll still happen again, and again, it always does. I’m either fighting with him, or holding my breath waiting for the next one.
Maybe I’ll get to the point one day where I can be brave enough to end it, to change everything my children know and uproot their lives. But for now I’m not there.
I’m putting all my effort into keeping the kids oblivious to the state of their parents’ marriage. But I’m losing a piece of myself everytime we argue. It’s killing me. Please please tell me your pre divorce self care tips. Tell me how to survive this
