Ive been dating my bf for a month, and I genuinely cant tell if I should take this as a sign that I should break up with him or if its my avoidant attachment issues talking. Can I get any advice?

Im not really sure if im posting this on the right channel, so ill keep researching on how to use reddit since this is my first time but here it goes.

So I(20) met my bf (23) at work, we've been talking for about 2 months, and made it official on the 1st of this month. Keep in mind this is my first real relationship since middle school and I'm not quite sure how to react in certain situations. This is our first "argument" I guess, and I'm the type of person who self sabotage and avoids a lot – so I guess all im asking really is this would be considered a red flag over the way he's reacting to me not being allowed over? We were supposed to hangout today, and the previous weekend but I had canceled on him, and last night I had asked my parents if I could come over to which they said no obviously due to them not being comfortable with it. Keep in mind I was raised in a traditional hispanic household, my parents are strict but it's not as bad as it was before and I still live under my dad's roof so I don't want to disrespect his rules or anything. I don't think my boyfriend understands this seesing as his mom lets him go out whenever he wants and he typically has more freedom than I do.

When I originally mentioned that we would hsve to brainstorm other ideas to hangout since I wouldn't be allowed over he said it was "bullshit." And when i mentioned my sister's reaction ( basically implied it was too soon ) he said he didn't understand why her opinion mattered. I then told him that I was expecting my parents to say no because its exactly how they treated my sister with her bf, i mean she wasn't allowed over for MONTHS till they were comfortable with it, but even then she's also a minor. He said that makes sense but since I'm an adult he doesn't understand why I wouldn't be able to.

I then told him that I didn't have as much freedom as he does to do things, adult or not, im still living under my dad's roof and I'm going to respect their boundaries. His response was "in all honesty, that's some bullshit" by this time I was obviously getting frustrated and irritated with his response, because I wasn't sure if he thought I was lying and trying to get out of it since I canceled on him last week because I was feeling burnt out and wanted to stay home. I also felt like I was clearly communicating with him what the issue was here and why he wasn't understanding what I was saying? Him calling it bullshit was what pissed me off the most because it certainly wasn't bullshit to me.

I then wrote him a paragraph : "In all honesty, I dont appreciate the fact that I explicitly said that I cant come over and you're not at all respecting my words or my families wishes. I said I can't come over to your house, that doesn't mean i can't hangout at all. I've told you before I value my family's opinions a lot, and as long as I live under their roof I am going to respect that until I'm independent. You calling their concerns, rules, and everything im telling you "bullshit" makes me feel very disrespected and I dont appreciate that at all. I said I can't, and that should've been the end of that. I understand this might not make sense to you considering im an adult, but this is my first relationship. You obviously have more freedom than i do, not to mention you are a male, and i am a female, obviously they would feel uncomfortable. Im not saying I wont ever come over, but until the idea of me going to your house isn't an issue and my parents and i feel comfortable, the answer is no."

He was active for like 2 more hours after that ( texted him this at 1:30 am ) since I could see him playing games but left me on read through the morning and didn't respond till 1pm today with:

"Im going to honor your family's wishes and respect the dynamic in your household. I just have my own opinion on the subject. But I don't want to step over any boundaries that'll make your family uncomfortable"

I haven't responded to him since to give myself some time to think and cool off but I truly don't know if I was too rude with it? Or if it didn't make sense? And I honestly was quite annoyed that he didn't even address the bullshit thing, nor apologize for it. Every one ive asked said he doesn't really need to have an opinion on the matter since its my family's rules, but I'm trying to see where he's coming from.

During our relationship I've noticed some things I don't really like about his personality but I figured that was normal with every relationship. But its gotten to the point where I'm not even sure if I actually like him or it's the thought of feeling wanted if that makes sense? I feel much more inexperienced compared to him, and he often talks about my appearance but then says hes "more of a personality guy" and I'm not gonna like start to get insecure about myself over a man, but im sure if he keeps it up I might start thinking the same. Im also heavily independent and don't like to rely on others very well, so this is the best I could do with communication since I typically avoid confrontation in general. I know I have my issues — but I'm also going off of how I was raised, and his mindset is very different from mine and I don't really enjoy the way he acts sometimes. He's also mentioned he cant take serious conversations well since hes very childish and often makes jokes about it. So i guess I'm just wondering if I'm doing yhe right thing by staying in this relationship? Or if im just too into my head about it and overreacting about it.
