No Wired Light in Living Room
For some reason that I do not understand, the living room of my apartment has no hard-wired lighting. Not having any overhead/ceiling light is literally gonna give me an aneurysm. I’ve tried a few different lamps out but I just can’t figure how to brighten the ENTIRE area.
My living room is rectangular with the couch (big sectional) and TV on one end & my husband’s PC set up at the other end. It’s a weird set up to where if we have a light behind the couch, then when we watch TV, there’s a glare but if we put it on the other side by the tv/couch, it’s blinding if we’re working on something AND watching TV.
I’m looking for ideas on lamps and lamp placement. I prefer RGB/Smart Lights because I do enjoy being able to select colors or presets for reading, relaxing, etc. I also read and draw a lot so it has to be bright enough that I can see what I’m working on, but not so bright that I show up to work looking like I smoked a shit ton of pot right before coming in lol. There are plenty of outlets spread out in the room for multiple lights as well.
Thanks!
