US T-Mobile user weighing OPPO Find X9 Pro vs staying in the Apple/Samsung/Google ecosystem — need advice on real-world experience (especially social media posting)

:otherquestion: Question :bluecolour2:

Hey everyone,

I’m a US T-Mobile user currently on an iPhone (14 Pro Max). Nothing is wrong with the iPhone — I just want a change from iOS and something more fun with a great camera, battery, and OS experience. My main goals are:

Camera & video quality (especially for TikTok/social)

Good overall OS experience

Solid battery life

A phone that feels fun and capable

Here are the options I’m considering:

  1. OPPO Find X9 Pro (global version)

I’d use this as my daily driver

Would keep my iPhone just for posting (not as my main phone)

Don’t mind paying outright

I’ve read it works fine on T-Mobile, but I’m worried about signal/band support, social app experiences, and general Android polish

Would love to hear real-world experience from US T-Mobile users

  1. Samsung or Google flagship (like S26 Ultra or Pixel 10 Pro xl)

I could do the 14-day trial with T-Mobile and finance it

I’d be switching fully to it

I’ve tried a bit of One UI (wife’s S22+) and didn’t love it — but also wasn’t a long-term experience

  1. OnePlus (like the OnePlus 15)

Would have to pay outright

Not as familiar with real social media experience on it

  1. Stick with Apple

iPhone 17 Pro Max now

Or wait for the rumored iPhone 18 Pro Max

What I’m most curious about:

Real-world experience posting on TikTok/Instagram from Android — especially on OPPO, Samsung, Google, or OnePlus

Any T-Mobile users with the OPPO Find X9 Pro or similar global OPPO phones — how is signal, 5G, and coverage on T-Mobile?

Do Android social apps feel noticeably worse than iOS for posting and editing?

Battery and camera experience in daily use

Is the OPPO fun and enjoyable enough to justify a two-phone workflow (OPPO daily + iPhone for posting)?

I’m open to keeping Apple if that still ends up being smoother — I just want something that inspires me creatively and feels great to use.

Thanks in advance!
