Fighting Prime Warframes: Perita

As I’ve begun spending more time trying to grind out the resources from The Perita Rebellion, I’ve found myself repeatedly running into the same issue: Prime Warframes. Particularly on the Steel Path.

I’ve seen the discussion around it, and it seems to pretty much all be the same. Bring a frame with a strong melee pseudo-exalted or bring Kullervo. Lots of recommendations for Valkyr, too.

The issue is, I’ve subsumed or sold pretty much every frame that fits the bill. Additionally, melee isn’t exactly a playstyle I like, regardless.

I’ve found “success” bringing a shield tanking Gauss build. Gauss nearly never dies unless I mismanage my battery or get insta killed by Ash. The issue is my time to kill. In the final fight against the primes, Burston finished in about 15 minutes. Dual Toxocyst took nearly 30.

My question is, for those of you with a preference for ranged playstyles, how are you achieving functional times to kill on these new bosses? Are generalist builds not good against their specific type of damage attenuation?
