Transferred to Visible - do I need to remove SIM card from previous carrier (Verizon)?

I am doing this on my daughter's phone first, and then mine. I see that see has a Primary and Business cellular account. As far as I can tell, the Primary is the Verizon one that is based on the physical SIM card; the Business one is the new one, based on the Visible eSim.

I toggled "off" the Primary account - is that all I need to do? Will it disappear when the Verizon service is cancelled? Should I remove the physical SIM card?

Thanks to all for any help. If it all goes smoothly, I will then port my own number to a Visible account. This is so long overdue... the intertia is real. Can't believe I've been paying $155 for two line to Verizon... been with them for 28 years... as though that means anything : )
