Drawing tablet and Pen Display questions

Hello, new member here. I recently bought a tablet for my niece specifically an Android 14 Compaq Qtab+. I heard my niece likes drawing and would like to try digital art.

The problem is that this tablet doesn’t support drawing and isn’t designed for it. Can I connect a Pen Display directly to the tablet so my niece can draw on it? I don’t have a lot of money, so buying a new drawing tablet is out of the question at least for now. I have no idea about these things and would like to learn so i can buy more stuff for my niece, so any advice and recommendations would be appreciated.
