36 year old man in Australia - seeks friends for banter, books, the outdoors and fits.

Hello beautiful people.

It's an overcast afternoon and I'm on the couch with a cup of chai (happy to drop the recipe) and a book (The island of missing trees - not my favourite book of the year but cozy nonetheless). I got my reading glasses on and my fuzzy slippers.

A little about me - I'm a 36 year old brown man living in Australia. I love reading, watching good film and television and playing soccer. I also spend a lot of time on hikes and camp when the weather allows it. I am not a fan of the corporate life and I'm looking forward to saving enough to build a little homestead with a big library where I can write crappy stories and smoke a pipe.

I'm looking for a long-term friend or two. The holidays are coming up and I know this can be a confusing/frustrating time for many. I'm also looking down the barrel of a complicated hospital stay and would love a virtual buddy. Someone I can talk to about white day with, share clrecipies with, start a two person book club with, get fashion advice from.
